Update: SB180 Unanimously Passed the House of Representatives

Yesterday, the House passed our Brick and Mortar Bill, SB 180 92-0!

The bill now goes back to the Senate where our bill sponsor Senator Jay Morris will concur in the House Committee Department of Insurance amendments and then send to Governor Edwards for signature.

Thanks to all of you for contacting your Senators and Representatives to support this bill and its aims.  I would like to further thank you for being a member of the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, as it is through your membership that we were able to hire our Lobbyist, Kevin Hayes, and push this bill through.

This is a great day for for Louisiana Independent Agents and the consumers in Louisiana.
