In case you are not aware, the Louisiana Clerks Remote Access Authority (LCRAA) eClerks website (www.eclerksla.com) offers a free service to receive an alert by email or text message if something is recorded in your name in the parishes that you select. This free service helps protect property owners from scammers that may try to record a fraudulent sale, mortgage or other document affecting your property. Please furnish a copy of the Flyer to all parties at your closings and advise them that it is not necessary to pay for this notification service.
